Notes of an OxVox committee meeting on 2 April 2008 

Present: Trevor Lambert, Neil Carter, Ray Whittaker, Bob Scholes, Graham Hilsdon and Chris Davis. Apologies:  Tim Rosser 

Membership report: 

The Trust now had 322 fully paid-up members.  The 13 non-renewers from 30 September 2007 had now been removed from current records. 

The leafletting exercise on 8 March produced 11 new members. For future exercises, one area (stand) at a time will be targeted for both the handing out of leaflets and the follow-up. 

Trust partners: 

Confirmation had now been received that the Oxy Oriental restaurant in the Ozone Centre will allow a 10% reduction on the food bill for Trust members on production of a membership card. 

A corporate membership package will be considered and other businesses will be approached (or re-approached as the case may be) to confirm discounts to members. 

Season ticket prices: 

The Trust had today submitted detailed proposals to the Club for its consideration and this will be followed up with a meeting with the Club tomorrow. The 4 central points of the Trust’s proposals were the reduction in junior/student prices (or the promotion of a stadium-wide family ticket), the reduction in ES adult price, the promotion of NS tickets and seating area and the elimination of the on-the-day surcharge. 

AGM preparation:

 The Performance Report had been largely written and just needed to be tidied up and checked. 

The Treasurer’s Report, as with the Performance Report, will be available to members on the day. 

An election to the committee will be held as 5 nominations had been received against 4 declared vacancies. A ballot paper will be distributed to members on the day.  

8 proxy forms had been received so far.

To be confirmed when new committee is in place. (secretary’s recommendation is Monday 26 April 2008.)
