Notes of OxVox committee meeting on Monday 4 February 2008

Present: Trevor Lambert, Neil Carter, Tim Rosser, Graham Hilsdon, Jenny Cuff and Chris Davis.

Apologies: Martin Brodetsky, Ray Whittaker and Bob Scholes.

Matters arising:

a) The Trust now had a membership of 284, not including 14 awaiting renewal.

b) The forthcoming members’ meeting will be held in the Landmark Suite at 1.30pm on Saturday 9 February.

Agenda for members’ meeting:

An invitation will be given to Nick Merry to come along, his time permitting, to address the meeting.

There will be 3 items under discussion.

Firstly, a review of the Trust’s meeting with Nick Merry on 14 January. A report had been forwarded to members.

Secondly, the lack of commercial focus within the Club was evident. The commercial/marketing team needed strengthening and the committee’s view was that further delay may hinder prospects of substantially increasing the Club’s income prior to and during next season.

Finally, the AGM is being planned for Saturday 29 March at 1.00pm. The members should be informed of the provisional agenda and the number of vacancies being made available on the committee. The formal letters to members should be despatched by 27 February.

Any other business:

Software will be purchased to facilitate polling on our web-site in order to regularly obtaining members views on a variety of issues.
