Notes of OxVox committee meeting on Thursday, 18 January 2007

1. Welcome/Apologies

A welcome was extended to Bob Scholes, who was attending his first meeting since being elected at the AGM. Apologies for absence were received from Martin Brodetsky, Tim Rosser, Jenny Cuff and Phil Fugle.

2. Present

Trevor Lambert, Neil Carter, Graham Hilsdon, Ray Whittaker, Bob Scholes and Chris Davis.

3. AGM/5

The minutes were agreed and were to be published. The rule changes were to be pursued by the secretary. The Chairman recommended that a different location, and possibly a match day, was selected for AGM/6 to maximise the attendance.

4. Roles for committee members

The proposal is for the same roles to be allocated to the 7 committee members who were in post pre-AGM/5. Bob Scholes will assist the membership secretary and look for ways to encourage forum users to visit the match day desk and join the Trust.

5. Preparation for club meeting

A maximum of 4 will attend these meetings . On 25 January, it will be Trevor, Graham, Bob and Chris. The agenda will include Stadium purchase, Stadium maintenance (in particular, the lack of attention given to certain facilities despite being reported), Club accounts and AGM, next season's plan A and B plus the Club's communication with supporters. Forum users will also be invited to raise questions.

6. Newsletter

The target is to issue Newsletter no.12 by 05/02/07. There is plenty of information available to use as articles and this will be enhanced following next week's club meeting.

7. Fundraising for sponsorship A revised bid/offer is being sought for the medal. 108 mugs have been made and will be priced at £4.50 (£4.99 non-members) or 4 for £16. buy.at/oxvox. com has so far raised £56. A shirt signed by the current squad will be framed and auctioned at the end of the season and a disco will be considered at Abingdon United F.C.

8. Dates of next meetings

Thursdays 15 February 2007 followed by 15 March 2007.

9. Any other business The possibility of a dinner around 21 March 2007 was mooted to commemorate 5 years of OxVox and will be considered by the committee.
