Notes of OxVox Executive Board Meeting on 13 November 2006

Present

Trevor Lambert, Neil Carter, Tim Rosser, Graham Hilsdon and Chris Davis. Apologies were received from Martin Brodetsky and Ray Whittaker.

Open meeting is to go ahead in the Catherine Wheel, Sandford on Thames on 25 November at 12 noon. The purpose will be to speak to members about the Trust and committee work, and to give an update on any important issues. All members will be made aware of the meeting with special invites to selected members, who, it is felt, have a role to play for the Trust in the future, and to the local media.

AGM

Neil Carter and Chris Davis will stand down from the committee but both wish to be considered for re-election. A total of 6 vacancies for elected members will be announced in the AGM invitations due to be sent to members around 4 December.

Rule Change Proposals

Copies handed out for the committee members to consider. The agreed rule change proposals will be put to the members at the AGM.

Fundraising

The big-flag money being looked after by OxVox may produce a surplus and consideration will need to be given on how such a surplus should be used, the sponsorship of U?s Youth being one option.

A new web-site www.buy,at/oxvox has now been set up and means that shopping on-line at many retailers will result in a commission for the Trust. A Press Release will shortly be issued advising people of the facility.

Membership now stands at 209 after removing 12 former juniors who have reached age 16 and not rejoined as adults and 23 others who have not renewed their membership since 30/09/06.
