Matters Arising: A reminder will be sent to the CE at Oxford City Council requesting a reply to our 27 March letter about ownership of land and planning conditions at Minchery Farm.
A letter
of thanks is to be sent to Andrew Smith, MP, for his pleasant comments
about the takeover at the Club and its supporters just prior to our
last Open Meeting. Secretary to deal with both issues.
OxVox agreed to sponsor a one-off 6-a-side tournament on a Summer Sunday. Ross will obtain costs for hire of a council ground, public liability insurance and other ancillary equipment for the Board's consideration. Ross will act as competition administrator and will require on the day assistance from us. This could prove to be a profitable member recruitment exercise.
A regular
6-a-side team will be sponsored by us from September and Ross will obtain
details of costs and tournament details.
Newsletter: To
be issued by the end of the forthcoming Bank Holiday weekend. Articles
to include an editorial, copy of accounts, a resume of Conference grounds,
notes from a Club meeting, the 6-a-side competition. Other articles
will be required from the rest of the Board.
Rebranding: To
include a new logo is to be considered by all elected members and proposals
put to a members' meeting on a date to be arranged in September 2006.
A relaunch could also attract new members. Ray is planning to write
to all lapsed members inviting them to rejoin now the climate has/is
changed/changing, but will await news from our next meeting with the
Club for suitable letter content.
